On January 28 2015 an average evening at home took a devastating turn as tragedy struck 22 month old Shiloh Evans. The heartbreaking accident happened when Shiloh curiously wondered to the back of the home and fell into the families pool. Fortunately he was found by a family member that was able to perform CPR on him until help arrived.
By the grace of God, Shiloh continues to show signs of progress from this devastating accident, but his journey is far from over.
The amazing staff at Loma Linda Children's Hospital have been tending to Shiloh during his recovery as well as showing support to the family that has not left Shiloh's side. The doctors have assured the family that there is much hope in Shiloh's case, as they have witnessed similar cases make full recoveries, however each circumstance is different, especially when dealing with damage to the brain. Right now it is all up to Shiloh and God's plan.
We will do our best to keep everyone updated on the latest of Shiloh's condition, currently he is showing positive signs including moving his head more frequently, and allowing family members to hold him, he is breathing on his own and looking in the direction of familiar voices, however there are complications he is attempting to overcome as well. He has been having severe "storming" and is extremely uncomfortable, he has a feeding tube and is unable to speak, and he just recently battled a nasty infection, that had his family very worried. These are among only some of the obstacles he is facing now,we know that the road a head will be difficult, but with the love and support of our friends and family we know we can get through this tragedy.

In the coming weeks arrangements are to be put in place for Shiloh's care once he is released from the hospital. His mother has stopped working to devote all her time to tend to her son.
We are asking for donations to aid in covering fiances toward his recovery. All money donated will be used to purchase the equipment and the added expenses it will take to care for him outside of the hospital. It will also help provide transportation to and from doctors visits, as well as income for his mother so she is able to stay home from work to be the sole caretaker of her son.
Shiloh is an amazing strong little boy, he has the biggest blue eyes and a heart melting smile, he is so gentle and kind and so full of wonder, he has his whole life a head of him, and we ask for your help to give him the life he deserves. The terrible accident has been a nightmare but with the power of prayer, the support of e community and the love of family we remain hopeful that our Shiloh will pull through completely.
